My little pumpkin,
Recently while visiting my grandparents, Nana gave you a small cup of milk to drink. Although I didn't mention it to her at the time I was extremely nervous about how you would go as I had never given you a cup to drink from without a spout or straw before. I was absolutely amazed to find you had perfected this skill without me even trying! I am so very proud that you can now drink from a cup. But stay little for just a while longer.. :(

Thirty Seven

Oh my little baby boy. Flicking through the photos from the last month I can already see you are changing more and more into a little boy. I am so grateful I decided to embark on this project, although it is often challenging and many times I have taken photos I have not been super impressed with but its all part of the journey of watching you grow and change from a baby into a boy. I want you to stay little forever, but I want you to grow and learn and find out who you are and where you fit into the world. For now I will have to embrace every kiss and cuddle before you I embarrass you.

Oh how frustrating you can be sometimes my darling! I had just brought in the washing, freshly folded and you decided to throw it all over the room! Lucky you are so cute, and lucky I love you so much. Re-folding the washing is better than poop on the carpet I guess...

Thirty Five

My little pumpkin, I don't bake often but when I do you seem to know exactly what is going on before I have even begun. You stay in the kitchen and want to be picked up to see what is going on (it is extremely difficult to bake one handed) finally when the cake slides into the oven, the moment you patiently wait for, licking the spoon. You are way more interested in licking the spoon than eating the final finished product. We are very much the same sometimes.

Pumpkin, today's photo is of you eating freshly picked strawberries from our garden. You loved them so much you preceded to pick and eat the unripened ones which I am guessing by your reaction at the time were not quite as tasty. I don't think I would ever be able to grow as many strawberries to keep you satisfied, but the one or two we did find were delicious!

Hanging out on the couch with Dad reading stories, I love how much you two love each other. Its such a beautiful sight to watch the two of you play and giggle together. You Dad is so amazing. I found the most incredible man in the whole wide world. I love you both with all of my heart.

Baby Boy,
There are many downsides to having a gorgeous chef for a dad but your dinner tonight was definitely not one of those downsides! It was an amazing chicken and mushroom risotto with proscuitto and it was delicious! Your Dad is such a talented man we are blessed to have him.
